Victoria Rivas

Victoria Rivas has almost three decades of Martial Arts Training and holds 2nd degree black belts in three organizations. She has trained in Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do and Kenpo. She is currently co-owner and head martial arts instructor at Starz Academy in Greeneville, TN.

Tang Soo Do Masters Alliance. Ms. Rivas currently studies under Master Garth Charland at the Charland Institute of Karate and Fitness in Watertown, CT where she holds a 2nd degree black belt. She returns to train each summer and trains via Skype with Master Charland during the rest of the year. She also studies with Master David Sgro of Nicaragua, who comes to TN twice a year to evaluate and train Rivas and her students. Rivas is also on the Board of Directors of the TSDMA. Excel Martial Arts. Rivas studied under Master Andy D'Amato for several years, and competed on the IPPONE tournament circuit where she received 2nd place in forms and 2nd place in fighting in Senior Women Black Belt division in 2009.

World Tang Soo Do Association. Rivas studied under Master Robert Beaudoin, the Secretary General of WTSDA, at the Beaudoin Academy of Karate for about a decade. She coached the demo team for several years and taught children's beginner and advanced classes. She holds a 2nd degree black belt and was certified to teach in this style.

Tae Kwon Do. Rivas studied under Mr. Tim Kirby, Mr. Billye "Jack" Jackson and Mr. Ray McCallum for a decade in Garland, Texas, where she received her first degree black belt in 1993. She competed in the Dallas area on the AOK circuit.
